Cookie Policy
Effective 24 October 2026 · Last updated 24 October 2026
Tiago Lopes publishes this page because European cookie rules (the ePrivacy Directive as implemented in Portugal by Law 41/2004, and the GDPR) require transparency about cookies and similar technologies. The honest description of this site is short: it does not use them.
No cookies are set
The website does not set first-party or third-party cookies. It does not use localStorage, sessionStorage, or a fingerprinting script. A request to the homepage does not return a Set-Cookie header.
No consent banner
Portuguese and EU rules require prior opt-in consent before non-essential cookies or trackers run, with reject as easy as accept. That banner is required only when such tools exist. This site has none, so showing a banner would be theatre. If analytics, marketing pixels, or other non-essential storage are added later, they will stay blocked until you opt in, and this page will change.
What still happens in your browser
- The browser may cache CSS, JavaScript, and fonts from this site so the next visit loads faster. That is normal HTTP caching, not a cookie I set.
- Optional device motion for the background graphic, where used, stays on your device.
- AWS CloudFront and S3 may record technical request logs (IP address, URL, user-agent) to deliver the files. Those are server logs, not cookies. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Third parties
Fonts are self-hosted. There is no Google Analytics, no Google Fonts request in the browser, no embedded LinkedIn widget, and no other third-party script on these pages. The LinkedIn link in the header only loads LinkedIn if you choose to open it.
Changing a choice
There is no stored cookie choice to change, because nothing is stored. If a consent mechanism is added later, a footer link will let you open it again. Questions: legal@tiagolopes.com.
